Why did Democrats think the FBI would save them? They wanted the FBI to corroborate Dr Ford's testimony. She was obviously telling the truth. She needed no corroboration.
Just like Democrats are counting on the investigation of Trump's alleged ties to Russia---Democrats talk about how honest and trustworthy Meuller is. So what if he finds that there was no "collusion"?
I hate lots of people. I would be happy to think they're guilty of almost anything they're accused of. But I don't assume that they MUST be guilty. I don't think there was any collusion and I don't think Russia had the slightest effect on the election.
In the case of Christine Blasey Ford, she told the truth. The FBI wasn't going to make that any more obvious. They love judges like Kavanaugh. Why would they derail him? All the Democrats did was make it easier for Republicans to confirm him.
Now the DNC says they won't hold it against Democrats if they vote to confirm Kavanaugh. The DNC will still bankroll them.
